I felt the same when I lived there briefly!!! It takes a while to pick up on all the slang.

Note: When I first came to Australia I was very confused by the idiomatic phrases … She’ll be apples meant everything would be okay. She’ll be right meant much the same. The ‘she’ really bothered me. Still does.
