I love the story of your hairdresser. Reminds me of how I try to be as a yoga teacher. Sometimes you don't need to say anything. Rather, just make the changes and adapt to make a more comfortable environment for the people you are working with. I agree that in some ways, customer service has been taken too far. Then, in some places, it seems it's completely non-existent and off-putting. There has to be a middle ground...
