I'm five feet and eleven inches tall, Kitty. And even though I did play volleyball and basketball growing up, I hated getting asked if I played sports...almost like it was a requirement! Like, WTF. I don't see you questioning all the short girls as to whether or not they run track and do sprinting events?! Being called out for my height made me despise being taller for several years...and I didn't have as many friends as shorter gals either!

I think the intimidation to come from taller people is real. My mom always told me that's why the guys never talked to me or went for me. But, then again, maybe she was just trying to boost my ego.

Personally, I always wanted to be with someone taller than me because I didn't want to feel like a giant ogar when we were cuddling. BUT my current partner is my same height, and has a smaller build than me and it doesn't really bother me.

With time I've learned to accept myself in a lot of ways I failed to before. With that, it's helped me focus less on others, remembering our appearence is the least interesting thing about us.
