What a beautiful story, Heidi. I'm so glad you were given a chance in a time of need. My mom was an addict and taught me from a young age, the power to come from helping someone... even when you think it's their fault for being in the situation they are in. I'm grateful she helped me see the good in others. I would have given you a chance too!
