You’re right, recovering perfectionists don’t need My Fitness Pal or anything like it. Reminds me of how I had to ditch my Apple Watch. All it did was make me more obsessed with food and consumed by my addiction to exercise. Any time I see a provider and they mention changing my diet and eating a specific way, I let them know loud and clear I’m an intuitive eater and will never eat a specific way ever again. It’s not healthy for me and my personality.
I’m so glad you were able to let go of My Fitness Pal and can enjoy food again. Intuitive eating sounds like a much healthier choice for you, too.
